Comparison

The same product, priced on a common unit.

Comparison groups the same product from different suppliers and prices it on a shared unit so the numbers can be read against each other.

The comparison screen in Heilda: the same product across several suppliers in one list.

Suppliers you can connect to today.

How it works

Comparison in three steps.

  1. Pick a product

Start from a product in the catalog, across the suppliers you have connected.

  2. See who sells it

Comparable products from different suppliers group together where the match is known.

  3. Compare on one basis

Pack and unit are calculated onto a shared unit before any prices are set side by side.

When it applies

Where the same thing is not the same thing.

The same product in 6 x 1 kg and 20 x 80 g is not comparable until the pack is calculated out.

Unit price

Packaging is calculated out.

Suppliers sell in different packs and units, so the numbers are not comparable as they arrive.

The price is calculated on a common unit, so what is compared is genuinely the same thing.

Common questions

About the comparison.

Where do the prices come from?

From the suppliers the workspace is connected to, as they stood when the data was last read.

What does a common unit mean?

The pack and unit of a product are calculated onto the same basis, so two suppliers are compared on the same quantity.

What if a product is not found at another supplier?

Then it stands alone. Products are not matched together unless the match is known.

Are prices updated automatically?

Prices are read when supplier data is fetched. The last known state travels with the line, along with when it was read.

Does Heilda pick a supplier for you?

No. The comparison sets each supplier unit price side by side and the choice is yours.

What about products that are not classified?

Unclassified stays unclassified rather than being guessed into a category.
