# Compare products and prices Review the same product or substitutes and read prices on a common basis. ## See products of the same type Each product card in the product catalog shows the product's type. Select it to narrow the list to products of that type from every supplier. Remove the filter at the top of the list to see every product again. In the catalog settings, under Product card label, choose what the label shows: Class, Type or Finer type. ## Finer type or same product Finer type shows the narrowest group the product belongs to, such as Chardonnay within white wine, from every supplier. Type shows every product of the same type, which may be possible substitutes. On an order, each line lists the same product from other suppliers and substitutes: products that can be used instead for the same purpose, although they are not the same product. > A product of the same type, or a substitute, is not the same product. Check its description, pack and characteristics before switching. ## What is normalized unit pricing? Normalized prices put products on a common basis, such as kr/kg, kr/l or kr/each. This helps compare different pack sizes when enough information is available. The pack price tells you what that pack costs. Read both the pack price and normalized price when choosing a product. > When a price or a comparable basis is missing, the data cannot establish the cheapest option. Price shown | Meaning --- | --- Pack price | The cost of the pack sold by the supplier. Normalized unit price | A common basis such as kr/kg, kr/l or kr/each. ## Choose a product from comparison Choose the suitable product and add it to an order. On the order page, each line shows prices at other suppliers and how much the order can be lowered. Check its quantity in the order: comparing the price per kilogram does not change the pack sold by the supplier. - [Find and select products](https://heilda.is/docs/products?lang=en) - [Build an order](https://heilda.is/docs/orders?lang=en) https://heilda.is/docs/comparison?lang=en
